My happiness is your nightmare
Veteran actor Abe Hiroshi will team-up to co-star with well-known manga character Monkey D. Luffy from the series ‘ONE PIECE’ in a special collaboration between long-running Fuji Television production ‘Yonimo Kimyou Na Monogatari’ (Tales of the Extremely Bizarre) and popular manga artists. The concept celebrates the 25th anniversary of the series.
In a segment entitled ‘Gomu Gomu No Otoko,’ Abe plays a mob henchman who, while hospitalized due to injury, by chance eats a “Gum Gum Fruit” (The same “Devil Fruit” as Luffy ate which gives the body the ability to expand and contract like rubber). Later on he would meet up with Luffy himself.
For Abe, it is his second appearance in ‘Yonimo Kimyou Na Monogatari’ but his first in 24 years when he played the lead character in a segment broadcast on August 29, 1991. The new spring special is scheduled to air Saturday, April 11 at 21:00.
